Choosing sustainable merchandise should be based on the data available for each product: composition, materials, certifications, reusability and environmental indicators. Not every product provides the same level of information.
The composition and percentage shown on the product help put the use of recycled materials into context.
FSC information identifies products for which the supplier states the use of FSC™-certified materials.
The catalogue may identify products that belong to the supplier’s Our Nature range.
When available, CO₂ is shown in kg of CO₂ equivalent as an additional comparison point.
When available, H₂O adds information about water use associated with the product.
Compare the declared material, composition and product properties. Use terms such as recycled or FSC only when they apply to that specific reference.
Durability, reusability and suitability for the recipient matter too. The product should make sense for its intended use.
Avoid extending environmental claims. Communication should reflect the materials, certifications and indicators actually provided.
Search for recycled, rPET, bamboo, cork or FSC and always confirm the details on the product page.
